Activities

Whatever your reason for coming to Paxos, there are a number of activities to be enjoyed while you are here.

Hiking

There are literally hundreds of footpaths on Paxos and anti Paxos. Helen is a very keen walker and can give you advice on the best walks to do during your stay on Paxos. You can amble through the olive groves or take a more challenging hike on the west coast cliff path. There are walks to suit every taste and ability. All the walks on the island are simply beautiful and an array of colour and amazing scenery.

Snorkelling and Scuba Diving

If you want to see more clearly the world beneath the waves, a perfect activity on Paxos is to take your snorkel gear to the beach, it gives you an insight into the rock and fauna life in the bays around Paxos and anti Paxos. Or for the more adventurous, there are scuba diving schools on the island, either for experience divers or complete novices who wish to learn.

Boat rental and trips to Anti Paxos

Anti Paxos is a beautiful island, with two stunning sandy beaches and tavernas on the beach, so you can go and relax and enjoy swimming in turquoise-blue waters. There are several companies offering day trips around Paxos and over to Anti Paxos, we can give you information on these.

There are a multitude of companies on Paxos who hire out small motor boats which you can then self drive around the island and over to Anti Paxos. A day out where you can please yourselves and see the dramatic cliffs of the west coast of Paxos, followed by lunch in Anti Paxos, is an experience you will treasure forever.

The beaches

Paxos and Anti Paxos are full of small coves and bays, all of which have clear blue water for swimming in. Because we do not have a huge tidal difference in this part of the mediterranean, the bays are always perfect for swimming. For us, it is the best part of the day to go down to the beach and get into the water for a swim, it has to be experienced to truly appreciate how special it is!

Getting around the island

We are about 20 mins walk from Loggos fishing village, it is all downhill on a quiet beautiful lane or footpath on the way to Loggos so a lovely gentle stroll. For those who don’t fancy the walk back up, there is a taxi in Loggos which will bring you back up in five minutes. If you fancy going further afield, there is a bus in the morning to take you to the other two main places in Paxos, Lakka and Gaios, or the more adventurous can walk it, work up an appetite before lunch.

There are car and motor bike hire available on the island, for those who want to be able to travel further and more independently.

The island has five taxis who can take you anywhere on the island, we have contact details in all our rooms.
